Book two seats on the same date at Crystalline Equine and spend 90 minutes with the horses in the desert outside Dubai. A table puts two people opposite each other and asks them to talk. This does not. You start by meeting, feeding and petting the horses, which gives you something to do with your hands and something to react to. Many guests find that the horses simply slow everyone down. The talking tends to happen afterwards, over refreshments, without being the whole point.
Classes sit at either end of the day, including sunset, and every listing shows its exact start and finish time so you can plan the rest of the evening around it. The class itself varies by date: yoga, pilates, mat work, guided meditation or crystal singing bowls. Sunset Pegasus Pilates is the one people usually mean when they ask for the evening one.
Book a seat per person on the schedule and you are both on the same date. Athletic clothes and closed-toe shoes, which are mandatory around the horses; mats and equipment are provided. There is outdoor parking, bathroom and changing facilities. It is about 20 minutes from Downtown Dubai, and the season runs October through May.
